BY-LAWS
Effective January 1,2024
Article I
NAME
The name of the organization shall
be: RIDGEVIEW RANCH SENIOR GOLF
ASSOCIATION. The official website
is www.rrsga.org
Article II
OBJECTIVES
The purpose of the RRSGA shall be to
provide senior men golfers the opportunity to enjoy golf as a group through a
non-profit organization.
Article
III
MEMBERSHIP
Membership will consist of men at
least fifty-five (55) years of age.
Membership dues shall be due and
payable January 1st of each year. Members become delinquent by
January 31st. Dues are $20 a year.
If a new member joins in the last quarter the $20 also covers the
following year. No member shall be eligible to participate in golf activities
without having paid their current year’s dues.
In order to participate in
tournaments a player must have a valid handicap or have one provided by the
current Executive Committee. As tournaments are played, scores will be placed
in the handicap system. New members without a handicap will play their first 3
tournaments in a Calloway Flight to establish a handicap. Thus, on their fourth round of play they will
have a handicap.

IV
OFFICERS
The
Officers of RRSGA shall make up the Executive Board. The Officers are:
President - Chief Executive Officer
Vice-President
- Tournament Chair and Shadow President
Treasurer
- Membership records, finances
Secretary
- Newsletters, Meeting monitor, correspondence
Web/Handicap
– Web Site, Handicaps
Article V
ELECTIONS
The President shall choose four
members in good standing who have not served on the last nominating committee
of those officers only along with one member from the Executive Board, for the
purpose of nominating officers to serve the next term. This group will be
appointed before September 1st. The committee will announce their candidates to
the members by October 1st. After this announcement, any member in
good standing can nominate additional candidates for consideration as officers.
The President shall establish a deadline for additional nominations. The
election will be held at a membership meeting the first week of November, or as
close to this timeframe as possible. The new slate of officers will take office
approximately December 1st.

Article VII
OPERATING
COMMITTEES
The Executive Board has authority to
appoint committees to carry out any and all activities
of the RRSGA. Committees will be appointed as circumstances dictate.
Article VIII
AMENDMENTS
The By-Laws may be amended at any
general membership meeting. Suggested amendments must be sent to the members at
least 30 days in advance of the general membership meeting or a called
membership meeting. Amendments to the By-Laws must be approved by two-thirds
vote of a quorum of the active membership.
Article IX
MEMBERSHIP
MEETINGS
Full membership meetings will be
held at least one time a year. Additional meetings may be called as deemed
necessary by the Executive Board and by individual members. An individual may
call a full membership meeting at any time by advising the President in writing
30 days prior to the meeting date.
Article X
LOCAL RULES
OF TOURNAMENT PLAY
The Local Rules of Tournament Play will apply at
all RRSGA tournaments. These rules have been reviewed and approved by the Board
of Officers and may be amended as necessary by the board. Current USGA Rules of
Golf will apply with the exceptions of our local rules.

from the web page (also easier maintenance).
